The Great Garda Run 'Organising Committee' are delighted to announce that the Great Garda Run will be held in Munich in October 2012.

Great Garda Run 2012 will see 100 members of An Garda Siochana, take part in a 'Marathon Challenge and raise funds for Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin.

The 'Great Garda Run' has been an astonishing success story so far with two marathons under our belts.

We will be running the Munich Marathon on the 14th October 2012. This year there are various options. You can take place in the full Marathon, Half Marathon or relay (four persons)

Participants in each of the above finishing in the historic Munich Olympic Stadium which was venue for the 1972 Olympic games.

Our Chosen Charities

The organising committee have selected two charities this year:

Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin

This hospital is committed to providing family centred healthcare in a compassionate and supportive environment where each child receives the highest standards of health care. We are delighted to be able to support such a great hospital.

Childrens Medical and Research Foundation

Their role is to inspire generous spirit and support you in whatever way they can. They invest your generous contributions in outstanding paediatric care and research to help our nation's sick children as well as support the efforts and mission of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and the National Children’s Research Centre.

REMEMBER, Participants fund ALL expenses incurred in Great Garda Run, resulting in EVERY CENT which is raised going DIRECTLY to the charity which is to benefit.
